Abstract: This paper is an analysis of 332 cases of lethal mechanical trauma examined in the Chishinau Thanatology department of the Center of Forensic Medicine. Etiological and pathogenetical factors of lethal mechanical trauma were analyzed in dependence of the age, sex, residence, season, place of death, manner of death and type of traumatic object. Studiului a fost supus 332 cazuri de traume mecanice cu consecinţe letale, cercetate în cadrul secţiei tanatologie a municipiul Chişinău a Centrului de Medicină Legală. S-au stabilit factorii etiopatogenetici declanşatori a traumelor mecanice cu consecinţe letale în funcţie de vârsta, sexul, mediul de reședință, anotimpul, locul decesului, genul morţii cât şi tipul obiectului traumatizant.
