Abstract: | Varicose veins of loWer limbs are usually treated surgically in an elective mode. Acute thrombosis of superficial veins represents a surgical emergency. Although the optimal treatment of superficial thrombophlebitis remains controversial, the emergency surgical interventions are still performed in significant proportion of patients.
Aim: To compare the long term results of elective and emergency surgery for varicose veins of lower limbs. |
