Abstract: During the period 2007-2012, the employees from the Scientific Laboratory of General Oncology and of the Institute of Oncology, have passed the first 3 stages of the Institutional Project “Development of new technologies and ICU treatment in patients with tumors of the musculoskeletal system and soft tissue” approved by the Scientific Academy of Moldova (state registration number 2011-2014, Nr.11.817.09.44). In 2012 the research have recieved 8 patients, 2 positive decisions of the qualified agency to recieve other 2 of these, 124 innovations, 4 PhD theses have been defended and 1 else is written and prepared to be advanced for defence, 11 monographs have been edited. The employees develop scientific and managerial activities in various field, participating in national and international congresses and symposia. They are involved in staff training on various cancer topics and have won gold, silver, bronze medals and diplomas, as well as the prize for science from the Scientific Academy of Moldova in 2009. The staff of the Laboratory has a real business plan for the future. The scientific researchers from the General oncology and AIT laboratory have treated 62% of the hospitalized patients, thus substantially contribuiting to increase the budget in the Institute of Oncology.
