Abstract: Rezumat Ne-am propus un studiu al pacienţilor cu sindrom de canal carpian care s-au aflat la tratament în secţia IV-a a SCTO pe o perioada 2009 -2011, am stabilit următoarele tendinţe, din 53 de pacienţi, 32 au fost de sex masculin si 21 de sex femenin, raportul dreapta/stânga alcătuieşte 1,8:1,0. Conform materialul nostru 6 bolnavi cu sindromul de canal carpian au prezentat stadiul II, 38 de pacienţi au fost cu maladia în stadiul III şi 9 în stadiul IV. Intervenţiile chirurgicale efectuate: la 47 bolnavi s-a efectuat osteosinteza fragmentelor extremi¬tăţii distale a osului radial, excizia ligamentului carpian cu decompresia nervului median. La 21 pacienţi s-a efectuat excizia ligamentului carpian cu decompresia şi neuroliza nervului median. Rezultatele la distanţă au fost caiificate ca bune la 49 bolnavi, satisfăcătoare la 4 pacienţi, rezultatele fiind influenţate în mare măsură de patologia de bază (fracturi sau luxaţii). Summary We have proposed a study of patients with carpal tunnel syndrome which were in treatment in Section IV of SCTO in the period 2009- 2011, we established these trends, from 53 patients, 32 were male and 21 woman, the ratio right / left draw up 1,8:1,0. According to our material 6 patients with carpal tunnel syndrome had stage II, 38 patients with the disease were stage III and 9 stage IV. Surgical interventions: in 47 patients was performed osteosynthesis of bone fragments of distal radial extremity, excision of the carpal ligament with median nerve decompression. In 21 patients was performed excision of the carpal ligament with decompression and neurolizis of median nerve. Remote results were classified as good in 49 patients, satisfactory in 4 patients, results are greatly influenced by the basic pathology (fractures or dislocations).
