Abstract: Summary. Guided percutaneous nephrostomy (NP) is minimally invasive surgery. It is of short duration, is done under local anesthesia and can be supported by virtually all patients with tumors and advanced renal failure. The period of the rehabilitation of these patients is reduced, and intra-surgical and postoperative complications are rare. Presented advantages and decreased morbidity has imposed this high urinary bypass technique in front of the open nephrostomy. Guided percutaneous nephrostomy can be performed only equipped with modern ultrasound equipment and device for percutaneous puncture kits nephrostomy.
