Summary: We studied the clinical signs and laboratory findings in 42 patients with gastroduodenopathies with a background of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in which nature mucosal lesions were studied depending on the severity of the evolution of COPD. Analysis of the results revealed that gastroduodenopathies in patients with COPD are directly related to the severity of the evolution of COPD. With the increasing severity of COPD, lesions of the gastroduodenal lining are more frequent and profound. In most cases, gastroduodenopathies develop asymptomatically in patients with COPD, and that’s why a more thorough examination of the digestive tract and a correct treatment strategy is needed for these patients.en_US
