This paper is dedicated to research of mathematical methods for separation of particular overlapped chromatographic peaks: subtraction of sectors of background chromatogram, modelling of chromatograms using apparatus and algebraic functions. Surveyed of advantage and disadvantages of each method, the own recommendations on optimisation of the corresponding computing algorithms are given. Two algebraic models – Exponentially Modified Gaussian and Asymmetric Double Sigmoid – most adequately describing real peaks apparent in HPLC have been selected. The experimental estimation of chromatograms quantification errors depending of various peaks overlapping and noise level is carried out at usage of apparatus and algebraic models.en_US
