| dc.description.abstract | Complications of otitis media are much more rare today due to the presence of prompt antibiotic treatment of otitis media. However, the morbidity and mortality rates remain high. In our study we assessed the frequency of complications of otitis media in children admitted to the ENT clinic of Children Republican Hospital „E. Coţaga”between 1996 and 2008. We analysed statistical data of this pathology and the results of treatment. The most frequent complications were mastoiditis.
Datorită introducerii în tratamentul otitelor medii a antibioticelor, incidenţa complicaţiilor otogene, în prezent s-a redus. Necătînd la aceasta, totuşi rata morbidităţii şi mortaliţii rămîne a fi înaltă. În acets studiu, noi am analizat frecvenţa complicaţiilor otogene la copiii internaţi în clinica ORL a SCRC „E. Coţaga”, între anii 1996- 2008. S-a efectuat o statistică a patologiei menţionate şi s-a analizat rezultatele tratamentului. Cea mai frecvent întîlnită complicaţie otogenă este mastoidita. | en_US |
