Abstract: One of the most current nutritional problems in the Republic of Moldova has become the iron- deficiency anemia for the children in the first year of life, which has a negative impact both for the economic performance of our state and for the public health. The prevention strategies against this anemia must be directed towards facilitating access to various foods, to supply the food with iron and to improve the public health services.
