The development of diagnostic and surgical endoscopy in rhinology in recent decades allows the practitioner a good visualization of the complex anatomical shape of the lateral nasal wall. Given anatomical wall formations may have different structural variants and developmental anomalies. They influence key anatomical relationships in the ostiomeatal complex, which in turn leads to the blocking of drainage ways and paranasal sinus ventilation. This represents one of the contributory factors in the development of inflammatory paranasal sinuses.
