It was appreciated the role of chronic tonsillitis in the pathogenesis of various forms of rheumatic diseases in children like juvenile arthritis, reactive arthritis and rheumatic fever. C-reactive protein has been encountered in a higher percentage of children with juvenile arthritis. We examined the results of blood and urine general analyzes, Antistreptolysine-A (ASL-O), rheumatoid factor, C-reactive protein, circulating immune complexes (CIC), immunoglobulin A, M and G, and data collected from the nasopharynx smear. Decompensated chronic tonsillitis, as a source of infection, plays a significant role in the pathogenesis of rheumatic pathologies.
