The most important demographic indicators in Republic of Moldova were analysed for the period 1993-2013. For analyse it were used the statistical data published in statistical yearbook of NCHM of Ministry of Health. As the result it was concluded that the demographic situation in Republic of Moldova may be characterized as a phenomenon “demographic decline”. The continuing decreasing of absolute number of population was registered. After a period of steady decline until 2000 year, the birth rate was succeeded by a fairly stable situation with slight variation around of 10 promiles. The general mortality has oscillatory character with a tendency to increase. Infant mortality which represents a demographic indicator has a positive evolution but noting the gradual downward trend. The evolution of child mortality under 5 years old is represented by dynamic decrease.en_US
