Authors: Mazuru, Vitalie; Şaptefraţi, Lilian; Globa, Tatiana; David, Valeriu; Rudico, Lucian
Abstract: Filopodia have been identified on endothelial cells from the tip of the sprouting for half a
century, but the key role of these TIP cells in vessels branching have been identified in the past
few years. Recent studies have discriminated in addition to TIP cells that are responsible for
migration and leading the way, Stalk cells that trail behind the TIP, elongate the stalk, improve
intercellular junctions and lumen formation, and the most recently discovered Phalanx cells that
are the most quiescent and stabilize the branch, determining the tissue perfusion and
oxygenation. Discovering of these endothelial cells subpopulations allows better understanding
of angiogenesis, and its consequent clinical manipulating. In this paper, based on the most recent
achievements in the field, the authors give a brief phenotypical and physiological description of
each endothelial subpopulation convicted on vessels branching.

Abstract: Complete myocardial bridges are myocardial strips which cover a portion of the large
branches of the coronary arteries. The presence of intramural path on a portion of the coronary
large and medium vessel can lead to appearance of disturbances in heart tissue perfusion,
disorders which can lead to the numerous changes in heart activity. In the literature there are
many controversies on the topic of anatomical and coronarography incidence of myocardial
bridges, dependence on age, sex, constitutional type, their clinical importance and
etiopathogenetic of cardiac ischemia induced by myocardial bridges.

Abstract: This paper represents a case of Castleman`s disease, investigated clinically,
histopathologically and immunohistochemicallly. It was studied in right inguinal lymph node,
that was surgically removed. Based on histological examination was established the diagnosis of
lymph nodal angiofollicular hyperplasia (Castleman`s disease). The microscopic features of
proliferative process was described; the histological forms, treatment and prognosis of disease,
also were discussed.
