Authors: Lopotenco, Cristina
Abstract: Communicating difficult news about a newly discovered illness,
particularly in the absence of a survival perspective and in light of the
apparent decline in quality of life, has always posed challenges, even in
modern medicine.Delivering bad news often triggers intense emotional
responses, including shock, disbelief, and fear. Ineffective communication can undermine patient trust and hinder adherence to treatment.

Authors: Bodrug, Artur
Abstract: Forced medication of patients with severe mental disorders involves
hospitalization and treatment without free and informed consent, raising
important bioethical concerns. The study analyzed recent literature to
explore the balance between protecting individual rights and ensuring
public and personal safety. Results indicate that coercive treatment is
justified only under strict conditions, with safeguards for patient rights
such as respect, non-discrimination, and minimal restriction. Ensuring
these principles reduces perceived coercion and increases later patient
acceptance of the necessity of forced medication.Overall, forced medication should remain an exceptional measure, applied only with strict
adherence to human rights and core bioethical principles.

Abstract: Recent studies reveal the importance of applying bioethical principles in the complex medical act of heart surgery in people with brain
diseases. Bioethical support is part of a complex of methods included in
the interdisciplinary approach. The conclusions reflect the need to establish a new medical tactic.

Abstract: Patient autonomy suffers when a health problem occurs in a prison
environment that can affect the rest of the healthy people, as in the case
of infectious diseases. Unequal access to medical services and the prison
system itself develop conflicts in relation to the rights of the person, the
hierarchy of the subculture and ethical principles.
