Authors: Cabac, Vasile; Scutelnic, Lilia; Istratenco, Ala
Abstract: Gastroesophageal reflux disease can be associated with laryngeal symptoms resulting
from abnormal exposure of tissues to acid refluxate. The complications of reflux are chronic
cough, chronic or recurrent laryngitis, and might be a risk factor for the development of some
laryngeal carcinomas. Laryngopharyngeal reflux certainly interferes with laryngomalacia, vocal
cord granulomas and laryngotracheal stenosis. Diagnosis is based on physical examination,
medical history, and results of tests. At present, the test of choice for laryngopharyngeal reflux
diagnosis is intraluminal esophageal pH monitoring which is necessary when esophageal
symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease are missing. Treatment for laryngopharyngeal
reflux includes changes to the diet and lifestyle, and acid-suppressing therapy. The treatment is
difficult because a twice-daily dosing with a proton pump inhibitor is often necessary and should
be continued after 4 weeks.

Abstract: In recent years there is an increase in the prevalence of otomycosis. This is due to the
extensive use of antibiotic ear drops. The treatment of otomycosis is difficult and requires a close
follow-up. We proposed to present a review of the literature on otomycosis, the main
epidemiological, clinico-mycologic features and treatment. Candida albicans and Aspergillus are
the most commonly identified organisms. Antifungals from the Azole class seem to be the most
effective.

Abstract: Sinusitis is one of the most known upper respiratory diseases. In recent years there has been
an increasing trend in the incidence of this disease. All this shows that the broad spectrum of
remedies used to treat sinusitis has not justify our expectations completely to solve this problem.
Therefore, we need another method of treatment that could have better bactericidal action against
pathogenic microorganisms. Such a method is ozone therapy.

patogene. O astfel de metodă este ozonoterapia.

Abstract: The work is based on the analysis of results of hearing aid fitting and includs 82 patients
with senzorineural hearing loss, children and adults. It was shown that adaptation to hearing aids
is an important moment in electroacoustic recovery of hearing because its results is largely
