Authors: Taran, Anatolie; Furtuna, Constantin
Abstract: This work proposes an important subject that has always incited the medical thought, and especially, that of the last 30 years: the discovery of some practical solutions for covering tegumental defects, resulted from various traumatisms.
Urgent clinical needs for tegumental material of substitution have proved the indisputable value of the epithelial tissues obtention, through the culture and the inestimable benefits that are brought by them, through the utilization in current medical practice, and namely in the case of the vast cutaneous damage.
This work wants to describe the traumatic lesions, that are caused by cutaneous destructions on large surfaces, with a high vital risk, and to present different therapeutic modalities that modern medicine tries to hinder their devastating consequences.
This work tries to enlighten the remarkable value of the new medical success, which is already clinically verified, although the culture epithelium presents some drawbacks, that are in the investigator’s attention, who tries to remedy them.

Abstract: Our study established the biocompatibility of the nitinol implants in the embryonic cultures, for the first time. On the basis of the positive result obtained, the morphological changes in living tissues and bones at their contact region with the implants have been determined. Thus any presence of citotoxicity and of the negative effect upon reparatory osteogenesys was not detected. Our next step was to determine the anthropometric and physicomechanical properties of the coraco-clavicular ligaments in fresh cadavers. Finally, we suggested a brand new nitinol implant having similar to coraco-clavicular ligaments properties. Our innovation has been patented.

Abstract: Biological methods for bone regeneration are needed to reverse bone loss caused by diverse agents. Regenerative therapies could use traditional autogenous, allogenous bone grafting or composite grafts including resorbable 3D scaffolds and differentiated or no differentiated cells. As cells grafts could be: autogenous bone marrow cells or allogenous cord blood stem cells. Also gene expression systems will be combined with cells seeded in precise three-dimensional configurations on synthetic scaffolds to control both temporal and spatial distribution of regenerative factors. The natural processes of bone formation and repair require the coordinated expression of many molecules; including growth factors, bone morphogenetic proteins, and specific transcription factors. Current knowledge related to bone and fracture repair describes how tissue engineering, may mimic critical aspects of these natural processes.
