    <description>Title: Manifestările neurologice în COVID-19 în populația pediatrică (Reviu)
Authors: Calcîi, Cornelia; Hadjiu, Svetlana; Sprîncean, Mariana; Revenco, Ninel
Abstract: Since the first reports of SARS-CoV-2 infection from China, multiple studies have been published regarding the&#xD;
epidemiologic aspects of COVID-19 including clinical manifestations and outcomes. The majority of these studies&#xD;
have focused on respiratory complications. However, recent findings have highlighted the systemic effects of the virus,&#xD;
including its potential impact on the nervous system. Similar to SARS-CoV-1, cellular entry of SARS-CoV-2 depends&#xD;
on the expression of ACE2, a receptor that is abundantly expressed in the nervous system. Neurologic manifestations&#xD;
in adults include cerebrovascular insults, encephalitis or encephalopathy, and neuromuscular disorders. However, the&#xD;
presence of these neurologic findings in the pediatric population is unclear. In this review, the potential neurotropism&#xD;
of SARS-CoV-2, known neurologic manifestations of COVID-19 in children, and management of preexisting pediatric&#xD;
neurologic conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic are discussed.; Со времени первых сообщений об инфекции SARS-CoV-2 из Китая было опубликовано множество&#xD;
исследований, касающихся эпидемиологических аспектов COVID-19, включая клинические проявления&#xD;
и исходы. Большинство этих исследований были сосредоточены на респираторных осложнениях. Однако&#xD;
недавние открытия высветили системные эффекты вируса, включая его потенциальное воздействие на&#xD;
нервную систему. Подобно SARS-CoV-1, клеточный вход SARS-CoV-2 зависит от экспрессии ACE2, рецептора,&#xD;
который в изобилии экспрессируется в нервной системе. Неврологические проявления у взрослых включают&#xD;
нарушения мозгового кровообращения, энцефалит или энцефалопатию, а также нервно-мышечные&#xD;
расстройства. Однако наличие этих неврологических находок в педиатрической популяции остается&#xD;
неясным. В этом обзоре обсуждается потенциальный нейротропизмSARS-CoV-2, известные неврологические&#xD;
проявления COVID-19 у детей и лечение ранее существовавших детских неврологических состояний во время&#xD;
пандемии COVID-19.

    <title>Factori determinanți ai obezității la copil</title>
    <link>http://repository.usmf.md:80/handle/20.500.12710/18245</link>
    <description>Title: Factori determinanți ai obezității la copil
Authors: Negrea, Mihai Octavian; Costache, Victor Sebastian
Abstract: Introduction. The usual approach when defining the fundamental etiology of obesity is to consider the energy&#xD;
imbalance between calories consumed and calories expended as the main determinant factor in the pathogenesis of&#xD;
weight excess [1]. In recent times, considerable scientific efforts have been made, however, to provide nuance regarding&#xD;
the inner workings of the exact mechanisms that lead to the development of obesity [2]. One direction for research&#xD;
has revolved around the factors regarding childhood obesity – an illness which is escalating globally [3, 4]. There is&#xD;
a well-documented relation between developing a weight excess in childhood and adult obesity [5], as a majority of&#xD;
overweight adults have in fact retained this status since childhood [6]. Preventive action against obesity is dependent&#xD;
upon the understanding of its determinant factors. These factors represent targets upon which to act in order to attempt&#xD;
to minimize the impact of this global disease.&#xD;
Aim of the study. To provide an overview of the current literature regarding the main determinant factors of childhood&#xD;
obesity and identify potential targets for preventive measures in this respect.&#xD;
Material and methods. We performed literature searches using the Medline/ PubMed databases and referred to&#xD;
international guidelines where applicable.&#xD;
Results and conclusions. The intricate interactions between environment and genotype can reveal a series of crucial&#xD;
points where decisive preventive actions could have a significant impact on the reduction of the burden of obesity.

    <title>Particularități ale infecției de tract urinar la copiii cu factori favorizanți locali</title>

    <description>Title: Particularități ale infecției de tract urinar la copiii cu factori favorizanți locali
Authors: Mătăcuţă-Bogdan, Ioana
Abstract: Introduction. Urinary tract infection is a major cause of morbidity and mortality inpediatric population. The association&#xD;
of risk factors sheds new light on its etiology, epidemiology, diagnosis and therapy, but also on the monitoring.&#xD;
The material and scientific methods used are those of reviewing data from the literature on current data, controversies,&#xD;
discrepancies and peculiarities related to urinary tract infection in children with local risk factors. The epidemiological&#xD;
aspects are highlighted as well as the characteristics of the urinary tract infection associated with different risk factors.&#xD;
The results focus on those elements of novelty in terms of identification, monitoring, therapy and prophylaxis of these&#xD;
infections, with implications for current practice.&#xD;
Conclusions. Urinary tract infection in children with local risk factors is characterized by particularities regarding&#xD;
etiology, evolution, treatment and prognosis. The study outlines the indications for antibiotic prophylaxis, respectively&#xD;
the cases in which there is evidence that the benefits are maximum.; Introducere. Infecția de tract urinar este o cauză importantă de morbiditate și mortalitate în populația pediatrică.&#xD;
Asocierea factorilor de risc aruncă o nouă lumină în ceea ce privește etiologia, epidemiologia, diagnosticul și terapia&#xD;
acesteia, dar și asupra modalităților de monitorizare.&#xD;
Materialul şi metodele ştiinţifice folosite, sunt acelea de trecere în revistă a datelor din literatură privind datele actuale,&#xD;
controversele, discordanţele şi particularităţile referitoare la infecția de tract urinar la copilul care prezintă factori de&#xD;
risc locali. Sunt evidențiate aspectele epidemiologice, dar și caracteristicile infecției de tract urinar în funcție de diferiții&#xD;
factori de risc identificați.&#xD;
Rezultatele sunt centrate pe acele elemente de noutate în ceea ce privește identificarea, monitorizarea, terapia și&#xD;
profilaxia acestor infecții, cu implicații în practica curentă.&#xD;
Concluzii. Infecția de tract urinar la copiii cu factori de risc locali se însoțește de particularități etiologice, de evoluție,&#xD;
tratament și prognostic. Din studiul acestor factori se contureaza indicațiile pentru profilaxia antibiotic, respective&#xD;
cazurile în care există dovezi că beneficiile sunt maxime.
