To solve it, many countries develop the scoliosis screening programs targeted on the children and teenagers. Radiology is one of the base diagnostic methods but it cannot be used in screening because of the high risk of cancerous effect for the growing body. As an alternative, many modern diagnostic devices and methods were developed to help the determination of biomechanical parameters of musculoskeletal system, inoffensive to the health, which permit the objective evaluation of the spine deformities. Scolioza este o problemă actuală a ortopediei contemporane. Pentru rezolvarea ei în multe ţări sunt dezvoltate programe de screening al scoliozei la copii şi adolescenţi. Radiografia este metoda de diagnostic de bază dar care nu poate fi folosită în screening din cauza efectului său cancerogen asupra organismului în creştere. Ca alternativă, au fost adoptate pe scară largă dispozitive şi metode moderne de diagnosticare, concepute pentru a determina parametrii biomecanici ai aparatului locomotor fără daune asupra organismului, care ne permt evaluarea obiectivă a diformităţilor coloanei vertebale. Lumbar stenosis is a common disorder that may be present in isolation, with or without associated disk bulge or herniation, or can be associated with degenerative spondylolisthesis or scoliosis. Symptomatic lumbar spinal stenosis is characterized by neurogenic claudication and/or lumbar or sacral radiculopathy. Prezentul studiu este unul informaţional şi constă în sistematizarea datelor ştiinţifice contemporane despre mecanismele modificărilor structurale ale canalului rahidian şi îngustării lui.
