dc.description.abstract | Introduction:
The specific therapy
for people with
autism is not offered
free of charge. The measures taken by
the state are often
insufficient.
Purpose: Arguing the necessity to respect the principle of
distributive equity of children with autism in specialized
medical services funded by the state, improving the
knowledge of health workers about this disease.
Material and methods: Sources from medicine, medical and
social bioethics. The methods that were applied: analyticdescriptional,
bioethical, statistical and sociological.
Results:
On average, one of 150 children in the world is affected by
autism. In our country, the principle of equity in treating
children with such disorders is constantly violated.
Conclusion:
From a bioethical perspective, it is necessary for patients
with autism to be treated as complex personalities who
need continuous support from the state and community
members, counteracting any form of discrimination and
ignorance, ensuring equal chances in providing medical
care. | en_US |
