dc.description.abstract | Abstract
Canine hip dysplasia (CHD) is a common disease of polygenic and multifactorial development of the dog, consisting of varying degrees of hip joint laxity, progressive remodeling and degeneration of hip structures, and subsequent development of osteoarthritis (OA). Current diagnostic methods are largely subjective, performed at different stages of development.
Continuou schiseling of similar imaging methods can improve diagnostic imaging techniques to identify dogs
proneto degenerative changes in the hip joint. Currently, common changes consistent with hip dysplasia in dogs
are influenced by genetic predisposition, as well as environmental and biomechanical factors; however, despitedecades of work, each person’s relative contributions to the development and extent of signs of hip dysplasi are
mainelusive.
Conservative management is of tenused to manage the signs of hip dysplasia in dogs, maintaining body mass
through outlife as one of the most promising methods. This article presents an analysis of the literature where different
screening methods are described that can be used to help diagnose the condition and rule out other problems. | en_US |
