Abstract Background: The correlation between the constitutional features of patients with the syndrome of Mallory-Weiss and the various features and the severity of the clinical course of the disease. This may allow improving the diagnostic efficiency in order to prevent errors and complications. Material and methods: All patients with the syndrome of Mallory-Weiss on admission endoscopic examinations were performed. Anthropometric studies were performed on 23 patients. Results: based on the data of the conducted analysis, we can distinguish four forms of thyroid: gland with a maximum value of the angle between the axes of the lateral lobes; glands with a minimum value of this angle; glands with a maximum length of axes of the side lobes and the maximum distance between their upper poles; glands with a minimum length of the axes of the side lobes and the minimum distance between their upper poles. The peculiarities of the topography and structure of the accessory muscles of the infrahyoid area should be taken into account when performing operative accesses to the front of the neck. Conclusions: Analysis of the data showed that the anthropometric studies are available as measuring distacia spirum epigastrium and height can help in the diagnosis of localization gaps and prediction of bleeding in discontinuous-hemorrhagic syndrome.en_US
