Importanţa profilaxiei cu iod după accidentele nucleare

Abstract

Summary. Тhe importance of prevention with iodine after nuclear accidents. Medical negative consequences of the disastrous accident from the Chernobyl are tangible till present and the thyroid pathology has a special place among them. It is caused by the action of radioactive iodine and can be greatly minimized by the implementation of prophylaxis with stable iodine. The basic principles, benefits and risks of iodine prophylaxis are reported in this article.

Резюме. Значение профилактики йодом после атомных аварий. Неблагоприятные воздействия на организм человека после атомного взрыва в Чернобыле в 1986 г. ощущаются до сегодняшнего дня, среди которых находятся и заболевания щитовидной железы. Они возникают в основном от воздействия радиоактивного йода и можно их значительно снизить проводя профилактику йодом. Основные принципы, выгоды и риск этой профилактики отражены в данной статье.
