Evaluarea sănătății generale a copiilor cu epilepsie ca criteriu al calităţii vieţii

Abstract

The epilepsy is one of the most common neurological disorders among children. The epidemiological studies have shown that 1/5 of children with intellectual disabilities have epilepsy. The heterogeneity of the complications, the cognitive disorders require a particular approach, because the consequences of these prejudices have a negative impact on the child’s life and his/her placement in the society, thus representing a major problem not only for the Republic of Moldova but also for the entire medical community. Taking into account the importance of the problem and the obvious gaps in the research of this phenomenon, we have proposed a complex survey to assess the real values of the quality of life indicators in children with epilepsy. The Quality of Life in Epilepsy questionnaire was used to implement the purpose of this descriptive cohort study and to assess the parameters that affect the daily activity of the children with epilepsy: mental and physical health, memory, mental state (fatigue, general quality of life, functional stare of the patient, fear of seizure, education, social restrictions).

Эпилепсия является одним из наиболее распространенных неврологических расстройств, встречающихся у детей. Эпидемиологические исследования показали наличие эпилепсии у 1/5 детей с нарушениями интеллекта. Неоднородность осложнений, когнитивные расстройства у этих детей требуют особенного терапевтического подхода, поскольку последствия этих осложнений оказывают негативное влияние не только на жизнь ребенка, но и на его окружение в обществе, что представляет собой серьезную проблему не только для нашей страны, но и для всего медицинского сообщества. Учитывая важность этой проблемы, а также явных пробелов в исследовании этого явления, мы выполнили комплексное обследование, оценивающее реальные показатели качества жизни детей с эпилепсией. Для реализации цели данного описательного когортного исследования, был использован опросник «Quality of Life in Epilepsy» для оценки параметров, влияющих на ежедневную активность детей с эпилепсией: состояние психического и физического здоровья, память, ментальное состояние (энергичность, усталость, оценка общего качества жизни, функциональное состояние пациента, страх перед кризами, обучение, социальные ограничения).
