Actualitatea profilaxiei anomaliilor dentare

Abstract

The dento-maxillary apparatus has a major role for the human body assuring the oral digestion; sound articulation, at the same time contributing to the definition of physiognomy and appearance. According to statistics, the proper development of the dento-maxillary apparatus is present in 69 % of cases, and in 39 % of persons suffer of a variety of dental anomalies, which have grave consequences over the patients physiology affecting his society integration and his normal body functioning. So, it is very important to know these anomalies, because the treatment is efficient only in case it is started at the right time in order to establish the morphological functionality and the esthetical aspect of the face.

Rezumat Aparatul dento-maxilar are un rol major pentru organismul uman asigurând digestia bucală; articularea sunetelor, totodată acesta contribuie la definirea fizionomiei şi a figurii individuale. Conform unui sondaj dezvoltarea armonioasă a aparatului dento-maxilar este prezentă doar in 69% din cazuri, iar în 31% persoanele suferă de o gamă variată de anomalii dentare, ce se manifestă grav asupra psihologiei pacientului privind intregrarea sa în societate şi funcţionarea echilibrată a organismului. Deci, cunoaşterea acestor anomalii are o importanţă deosebită, deoarece tratamentul este eficient numai în cazul când este aplicat la timp în scopul restabilirii integrale morfofuncţionale şi esteticei faciale.
