Abstract: Wedge-shaped defect is a non-carious pathology of dental hard tissues, occurred posteruptively, conditioned by a lesion formation on the dental surface in the form of a cone. The ethiology of this disease is currently less studied, there are several hypotheses. Clinically it is manifested by the appearance of the defect of the dental tissue on the vestibular surface of the teeth at the level of dental neck. The complaints of the patients are hyperaesthesia and dysfunction of facial aspect. The treatment of the cuneiform lesion can be general or local, involving the stomatologist-therapeutist, orthopedist and orthodontist.
