Impactul psiho-emoţional şi aspecte sociologice ale fluorozei dentare la persoanele tinere în societatea modernă

Abstract

The problem of dental aesthetics has become one of the most demanded in modern stomatology as an increasing number of patients who wish to have not only functional, but also a cinema smile. Moldova has several fluorosis endemic regions where many children and young people are registered with marked changes in color and texture of teeth. The purpose of the present research was to reveal and characterize through sociological methods the psychoemotional problems of young people due to fluoride discoloration of teeth in correlation with their age, sex, and habits. Problema esteticului dentar a devenit una din cele mai populare în stomatologia moderna, deoarece un număr tot mai mare de pacienţi vor să aibă nu numai restaurări funcţionale, dar şi frumoase, un zâmbet strălucitor („hollywoodian”). În Moldova există câteva focare endemice de fluoroză, în care la mulţi copii şi tineri sunt înregistrate modificări manifeste de culoare şi de textură ale dinţilor. Scopul studiului respectiv a fost identificarea şi caracterizarea prin metode sociologice la diferite categorii de tineri a problemelor psiho-emoţionale cauzate de discromiile fluorozice ale dinţilor.
