dc.description.abstract | All through Europe it is established at this moment a great concern in fighting the phenomenon of social exclusion of persons with disabilities. Social exclusion refers to the process of placing certain persons or social groups to the outskirts of the society which implies isolation and restriction of the access to community goods. Socially excluded groups primarily contain persons with mental deficiency. These, in order to survive, need to develop a different from the rest of the society way of life, thus worsening the process of desadaptation and social exclusion. Persons with mental disorders are those persons who lack the abilities of performing normally daily activities, needing protection measures for the recovery and social inclusion. | en_US |
