dc.description.abstract | A real incidence of septic-purulent nosocomial infections in patients with spine pathology admitted to the traumatological hospital has been
determined. The above is 351.26 cases per 1000 operated patients; their epidemiological features and risk factors have been determined. It has been
found that the incidence of nosocomial infections in septic-purulent stationary of this profile is associated with the patient age, the mode of admission
(urgent or planned), the underlying diagnosis, the presence of concomitant pathologies, the length of stay of the patients in the intensive care unit, the
amount and type of the surgery, the frequency of dressing changes. The predominant are wound infections (43.33%), pneumonia infections (21.66%)
and urinary tract infections (6.66%). This study is based on the active diagnosing of the septic-purulent nosocomial infections done by the method
of retrospective review of the surveillance records of the patients admitted during the year into the Department of Spine Pathology of the Clinical
Hospital of Traumatology and Orthopedics. In total, 845 observation records have been studied. The results of the research have been transferred to
the standard epidemiological investigation sheet, developed by the Department of Epidemiology of Nicolae Testemitsanu State University of Medicine
and Pharmacy. For processing the received information the epidemiological method of a descriptive analysis has been used. | en_US |
