Abstract: | Summary. Based on four-year experience, our study evaluated incidence, age and cancer stages of 40 patients who had been supposed to radical retropubical prostatectomy or radical radiotherapy. The review of these cases found, that the radical surgical intervention on prostate cancer can be performed in the stage T1, T2 and T3a and, radical radiotherapy is accepted for ageing patients and for patients with the score Glison 7. Prostatectomy was mainly performed in the patients with medium age 60,7, and radiotherapy – to 66 years old. The serum marker of prostate tumor – PSA - has a crucial role in the evaluation of prostate cancer and is dependent of tumor process’s stage, but in our study we didn’t find a strong correlation, may be due to a small number of estimated cases. |
