Abstract: | Summary. The evaluation of the activity of the Urology Department Clinical Republican Hospital was performed during the years 2001 – 2011, including evaluation of some indexes as the number of the patients operated on, methods of the surgical intervention, postoperative complication rate, etc. In presented work were exposed the main indices that characterize activity of the work in the urology department for 10 years with the evaluation of the indexes of hospitalization, inpatient structure and a series of postoperative indices, which are characteristic for the stationary urological pathology in hospitals. A series of indices were stable during the reporting period: the number of hospitalized patients, average duration of the treatment, the rotation of the bed, staying up during the operation and the rate of complications recorded. As the number of the patients operated on and the surgical activity, these indices are increased. According to statistics data in the last 10 years, the index of the hospitalized patients in the Urology Department of the Republican Clinical Hospital was constant. The number of the performed surgical interventions as well as the activity number increased in this period and indicators of the duration of preoperative hospitalization have remained constant. Increased number of the total interventions in the urology department was caused by the implementation of some new treatment methods. Diagnostic methods applied before the admission of the patients in hospital are of major importance in assessment tactics of the treatment. |
