dc.description.abstract | Summary. The concept of SIRS, which propose an evidence based approach to the infections’ severity evaluation independent on their primary localization can be used for further stratification of the patients depending on lethal risk from infectious cause. This stratification was used in order to determine 3 grades of urinary infection’s severity: mild (local infectious process in absence of SIRS), moderate (local infection associated with SIRS) and severe (generalized infection: septic shock, severe sepsis, polyorganic failure). Therefore with the new classification of urinary infections’ severity, which was carried out basing on SIRS concept, an original approach to standardized antibacterial treatment was proposed. | en_US |
