Managementul, o știință contemporană Ețco, Constantin Summary: The article is devoted to a rather current issue for the health care system. Management as a concept appeared in Moldova through the 1990s. The article emphasizes the managerial skills that are necessary for decision makers - leaders of different levels in the health system. It also refers to the importance of training professionals with skills that are necessary for the leadership in public health. The author makes an analysis of the researches and publications on the subject in question, which include over 100 works, including nine monographs, 50 articles in magazines; there have been written 10 dissertations in medicine. The most valuable work is a monograph Management in health care system (862 p. ), which is a fundamental book for the managers of the institutions of the health care system and not only. Rezumat: Articolul este consacrat unei probleme destul de actuale pentru sistemul de sănătate. Managementul ca noțiune a apărut în Moldova prin anii 1990. În articol se subliniază despre abilitățile manageriale necesare factorilor de decizie – conducători de diferite nivele din sistemul sănătății. Se argumentează importanța formării specialiștilor cu competențe necesare pentru activitatea de conducere în sănătate publică. Autorul face o analiză a cercetărilor efectuate și a publicațiilor pe tema respectivă, care numără peste 100 de lucrări, inclusiv nouă monografii, 50 de articole în reviste; au fost elaborate și susținute 10 teze de doctor în medicină. Cea mai valoroasă lucrare este monografia Management în sistemul de sănătate (862 p.) care este o carte de căpătâi pentru conducătorii instituțiilor din sistemul de sănătate și nu numai.
