Background: This article describes the growth rate of pituitary adenomas, their invasion and potential recurrence. Some of them grow rapidly while&#13;
others remain in a dormant condition for a long time. The recurrence rate is also very hard to forecast. The pituitary adenomas that initially reduced&#13;
their proliferation rate now acquire a rapid one, producing aggressive recurrences.&#13;
Materials and methods: Eighty two cases of pituitary adenomas were studied. The classification of human pituitary adenomas has been profoundly&#13;
assisted by immunohistochemistry. Ki-67 antibody was used to assess the proliferative index of pituitary adenomas.&#13;
Results: Acidophil type adenomas or acidophil cells areas within mixed pituitary adenomas had the highest proliferation rate. Chromophobe pituitary&#13;
adenomas were Ki67 negative in 90%, as well as the ones that presented the basophilic cells. The pituitary adenomas with a trabecular growth pattern&#13;
had the lowest rate of proliferation, in about 50% of the cases being zero. The heterogeneity expression of growth factors and corresponding receptors&#13;
is dependent on hormonal profile of pituitary adenomas.&#13;
Conclusion: The pituitary adenomas proliferation rate depends on the type of secreted hormone as well as on the hormonal associations met in some&#13;
cases of pituitary adenomas.

Tumorile hipofizare sunt procese patologice la nivelul hipofizei, sunt hormonal active, cu localizare la baza creierului.&#13;
Hipofiza, deși au dimensiuni reduse, are un rol foarte important în reglarea metabolismului și participă la maturarea&#13;
organismului în general. Tumorile hipofizare reprezintă 10-25% din totalitatea tumorilor cu localizare intracerebrală, au&#13;
o rata de creștere foarte lentă și nu au capacitatea de a metastaza. În pofi da faptului că sunt benigne din punct de vedere&#13;
histologic au un efect biologic malign și din acest motiv necesită să fie calitativ diagnosticate. La ora actuală realizarea&#13;
profi lului imunohistochimic permite diagnosticarea funcției secretorii a tumorii și prescrierea tratamentului personalizat.&#13;

Pituitary tumors are hormonally active pituitary disease processes, localized at the base of the brain. Pituitary gland,&#13;
although small, it has an important role in metabolism regulating and takes part in the maturation of body in general.&#13;
Pituitary tumors represent 10-25% of all intracranial tumors, have a very slow growth rate does not have the ability to&#13;
metastasize. Despite the fact that they are benign histologically they have a biological malignant effect and therefore need to be qualitatively diagnosed. Currently immunohistochemical profi ling permits to diagnose the tumor secretory function and prescribe personalized treatment.&#13;

Опухоли гипофиза – это гормонально активные патологические процессы, локализованы у основания&#13;
головного мозга. Гипофиз, хотя и небольших, играет важную роль в регуляции обмена веществ и участвует в&#13;
созревании организма в целом. Опухоли гипофиза представляют собой 10-25% всех внутричерепных опухолей,&#13;
имеют очень медленный темп роста не обладают способностью к метастазированию. Несмотря на то, что&#13;
они являются гистологически доброкачественными, но имеют злокачественный биологический эффект и,&#13;
следовательно, должны быть качественно диагноcтицированны. В настоящее время иммуногистохимическое&#13;
профилирование дает возможность установить секреторную функцию опухоли и назначить персонализированное&#13;
лечение.

momentul intervenției chirurgicale. Examenul inițial necesită colorație de rutină cu hematoxilina și eozina. Acestea sunt&#13;
evaluate cu diferiți markeri imunohistochimici care sunt acum disponibili pentru a clasifi ca cu exactitate aceste patologii.&#13;
Subclasifi cările complexe ale adenoamelor hipofi zare sunt recunoscute pentru a refl ecta caracteristicile clinice specifi ce și&#13;
modifi cările genetice care permit tratamentul personalizat pentru pacienții cu tulburari pituitare.&#13;

 The immuno-morphological correlation in pituitary adenomas&#13;
This review provides a practical approach to the diagnosis of pituitary specimens that are sent to the pathologist at&#13;
the time of surgery. The initial examination requires routine haematoxylin and eosin staining. These are evaluated with&#13;
several special stains and immunohistochemical markers that are now available to accurately classify these pathologies.&#13;
The complex subclassifi cation of pituitary adenomas is now recognized to refl ect specifi c clinical features and genetic&#13;
changes that predict targeted treatments for patients with pituitary disorders.&#13;

 Иммуно-морфологическая взаимосвязь в аденомах гипофиза&#13;
В данной статье представлен практический подход к диагностике аденом гипофиза. Первоначально&#13;
требуется обычное окрашивание гематоксилином и эозином. Далее ткань обрабатывается различными&#13;
иммуногистохимическими маркерами, которые позволяют точно классифицировать эти патологии. Комплексная&#13;
классификация аденомы гипофиза отражает конкретные клинические особенности и генетические изменения,&#13;
которые позволяют персонализированное лечение пациентов с расстройствами гипофиза.&#13;
