Abstract:
Summary.
A review of 72 hospitalized patients with glomerulonephritis identified a significant percentage of
medical emergencies (44,44%). The urgency in acute glomerulonephritis is more frequent and severe
(cerebral edema, nephrotic abdominal crises). The presence of nephrotic or nephritic syndrome is of
major risk in the derive of an emergency, even under corticosteroid and cytotoxic treatment.
