Summary. Intelligent monitoring, diagnosis and control of dynamic systems, such as patients in intensive care units, necessitate the context-dependent acquisition, processing, analysis, and interpretation of a large amount of possible incomplete data. The dynamic nature of the process also requires a continuous evaluation and adaptation of the monitoring and treatment strategy to respond to changes in monitored patient. A computer system, able to meet this requirements, is being elaborated on the model of traumatic hemorrhagic shock. The Artificial intelligence — Based System will have several areas of use: a) clinician’s aid — as a decisive support model, based on complex clinical algorithms that are tailored to patient’s specific conditions; b) special tool in research activity to facilitate data acquisition and processing; c) educational / training tool; d) order-writing protocol for ICU; e) model for devolping similar systems. |
