dc.description.abstract Relevance of the research: In recent years, the specialized literature has shown a marked interest in studying the treatment methods for large maxillary cysts. This is explained by the existence of controversies regarding the choice of treatment method, the management of the teeth adjacent to the cyst, and the approach to the neighboring anatomical structures. Objective of the study: To enhance the effectiveness of medical care provided to patients with large maxillary cysts by studying, comparing, and optimizing minimally invasive treatment methods. Research objectives: Retrospective analysis of morbidity in patients with cystic formations of the maxillae; comparative clinical evaluation of patient recovery during the postoperative period; determination of variations in pulpal sensitivity of teeth adjacent to the cystic lesion, pre- and postoperatively; comparative study of bone and tissue density; comparison of pre- and postoperative efficacy of decompression and marsupialization in reducing the morphological parameters of large maxillary cysts. Scientific novelty and originality: The minimally invasive treatment methods for patients with large maxillary cysts have been studied, compared, and optimized. Major new results obtained: Both treatment methods can be recommended as safe and effective therapeutic options for the management of large maxillary cystic lesions. Theoretical significance: The application of minimally invasive methods in the treatment of patients with large maxillary cysts will contribute to a significant reduction in the incidence of intraoperative accidents and postoperative complications. Practical significance of the study: The results of the study will serve as a basis for developing recommendations for practicing physicians to guide the selection of the optimal treatment method. Implementation of scientific results: The results have been implemented in the educational process for the training of students, residents, and physicians in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The research findings are utilized by the physicians of the Republican Center of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the Republic of Moldova. Structure of the thesis: Introduction, four chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 219 works, 5 appendices, 92 pages of main text, 70 figures, 3 tables, 1 formula. The results obtained have been published in 27 scientific papers. en_US
