Background:
In Republic of Moldova primary care physicians provide all or at least major part of the health care for all general population with recognized and unrecognized chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). For those with recognized COPD, current management is frequently incompatible with recommended international guidelines (GOLD 2011).
