dc.description.abstract Summary: Dermatomyositis is a rare connective-tissue disease that is characterized by inflammation of the muscles and the skin. The estimated incidence is 2 – 5 cases per million population. Females are affected by dermatomyositis twice as often as males. The most comon ocular changes in dermatomyositis are ptosis and diplopia. Vessels pathology – retinopathy – is rare. We present the case of a young patient, female, with dermatomyositis associated with proliferative retinopathy, the medical treatments. en_US
