Abstract:	Summary: The article analyzes from a historical point of view the morbidity caused by whooping cough in the Republic of Moldova during the 20th century and medical efforts, such as vaccination, that led to the reduction of the incidence of this infection. It also describes the future possibilities of evolution of this epidemiology. Резюме: В статье приводятся данные о заболеваемости населения Молдовы коклюшем, и о предпринятых мерах по борьбе с этой инфекцией, в основном путем вакцинации всего населения против коклюша ассоциированными вакцинами. В результате, на протяжении последних лет эта инфекция в республике регистрируется на уровне нескольких случаев. Высказывается мнение о мерах по поддержанию этой эпидемиологической ситуации на будущее.
