Populaţia vârstnică din Republica Moldova: polipatologie şi evaluare medico-socială

Abstract

It is necessary to know very well the normal aging process in order to be able to distinguish the effects caused by the aging process from those of the different pathologies. The aspects of polypathology in the elderly as well as some medico-social problems in this age group were studied according to the information presented by the family doctors from our country. The result of the indispensability in the global evaluation of the elderly people was proved. It should be performed by the geriatrician, the paramedical and social specialists and the persons from the public health department.

Pentru distingerea efectelor cauzate de îmbătrânire de cele provocate de anumite maladii este indispensabilă cunoaşterea satisfăcătoare a îmbătrânirii normale. Aspectele polipatologiei la vârstnici şi unele probleme medico-sociale la acest grup de vârstă au fost studiate prin colectarea informaţiei prezentate în baza îndeplinirii chestionarelor de către medicii de familie din Republică. Conform rezultatelor obţinute s-a demonstrat necesitatea unei evaluaări globale a pacientului vârstnic cu participarea atât a medicului geriatru cât şi a reperezentanţilor sferei paramedicale, sociale şi a sănătăţii publice.
