Abstract: Purpose: To investigate the safety and efficacy of the use of Navilas 577 (navigated retinal laser) as a delivery method of laser photocoagulation in the treatment of symptomatic retinal tears and degenerations. Methods: We had a retrospective observational study of 40 patients presenting to our Clinic with a diagnosis of symptomatic retinal tear or degenerations who underwent laser photocoagulation using a Navigated retinal laser (Navilas 577s). Patients were followed up at two weeks to observ the efficacy of the use of navigated retinal laser for photocoagulation treatment. Results: The Navilas Laser System 577 is the next generation after pattern lasers due to the unique benefits of its proprietary navigation technology that gives us in work. Attain precision and reliability through the pre-positioning and stabilization of the laser beam on the retina, in threshold and subthreshold treatments, as it is the only retina laser using eye tracking Treat the peripheral region faster and more effectively than with conventional pattern scan lasers via the large field of view and assisted pattern placement. May perform treatments with comfortable pattern application and best work ergonomics - optionally under infrared light and without a contact lens. Conclusions: The use of navigated retinal laser as a method of laser photocoagulation for the treatment of retinal tears and peripheral degenerations shows comparable safety and efficacy with other studies using traditional retinal laser systems.
