Aspecte bioetice în procesul comunicării farmacist-pacient din cadrul farmaciei comunitare

Abstract

Communication between pharmacist and patient is a component of the therapeutic act that takes place within the pharmacy. This is a method by which the pharmacist obtains access to the patient’s medical information, to important information, in this context, from the past, from the present and about the medication prescribed by the doctor to be administered in the future. This practice cannot be excluded from the therapeutic exercise, so it should necessarily obey bioethical principles in the narrow sense. An easy access to medical services within the pharmacy gives the pharmacist the opportunity to interact with patients more often than medical workers in clinics or hospitals. Apart from aiming to avoid medical errors in the prescription of drugs or from the patient’s preferences towards certain OTC medication, the pharmacist has the opportunity to get involved in the prevention of medical problems or the post-treatment of members in the community.Non-maleficence, beneficence, justice, autonomy, all bioethical principles have aspects that are present in the activity of the pharmacist within the community pharmacy and deserve to be fully researched.
