The influence of fenspiride on the pro-inflammatory cytokines in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease The systemic inflammatory markers in 90 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease using the anti-inflammatory treatment were studied. More pronounced reduction of respiratory symptoms with rapid decrease of inflammatory markers, of cytosis index in induced phlegm and pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1, IL-8 and tumour necrosis factor (TNF-α) in patients whose complex treatment included fenspiride was established in comparison with patients that used beclometasone and tiotropium bromide.
