Abstract: Adolescence is a critical period in physical and mental development of a future individual. There are numerous types of behavior, life style and practices that are assimilated during this period that influence the rest of life, personal health and individual’s family. In the Republic the analysis of pupils` morbidity from pre-university educational institutions shows some health difficulties of youth generation. Simultaneously there is attested a spread of injurious habits among children and youth (smoking, drugs, alcohol abuse). The realization of actions in health education through introduction of obligatory hours of hygienic education in schools beginning with the 1st till the 12th form school, by using schedules and didactic materials suitable for each age for each cycle of development, thus it will contribute to the rectification of situation and improvement of public health level.
