Abstract: Definitions of rare diseases are given. Prevalence, mediсal, psychological and social features of rare diseases, and also the pharmaсo-economic characteristic of their treatment are outlined. The measures directed on the decision of a problem of diagnostics, the account and treatment of rare and orphaned diseases are offered. Se prezintă definiţia bolilor rare. Este elucidată prevalenţa, particularităţile medico-psiho-sociale ale bolilor rare, precum şi caracteristicile farmaco-economice ale tratamentului acestora. Se propun activităţi direcţionate spre soluţionarea problemei diagnosticului, evidenţei şi tratamentului bolilor rare şi orfane.
