Abstract: Axonal polyneuropathies or axonopathies can be caused by different etiological factors, but in almost 50-60% of cases the etiological factor is not established correctly and patients with peripheral polyneuropathies are referred to specialized centers without etiological diagnosis. This study was based on the evaluation of scientific literature on this topic published in the last years underlying the possible etilogical factors that can cause axonal polyneuropathies.
