Abstract: At present Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is considered to be a chronic disease caracterized by inflammation, demyelination and gliosis of the central nervous system as well as the peripheral one. Our study was based upon a literature review with the emphasis on the cases of peripheral nervous system injury resulting from demyelination in MS. It is important to highlight the possible immunopathological mechanisms of the disease.
