Abstract: The etiology of esophageal combustion is multiple which dominates the ingestion of corrosive substances with accidental or suicidal purposes, and in few cases of congenital lesions and gastroesophageal reflux disease. After treatment of acute lesions with corticosteroids, antibiotics and nutritional supports have progressed to oesophageal stenosis (diagnostic scopes).
