Abstract: Summary. Currently urology is undergoing a period of faster development and material-technical completing. This is largely influenced by the following factors: scientific and technical progress, contemporaneous surgery, increasing number of elderly and senile patients, implementation of the minimal invasive surgery. As a result of involving of endoscopic surgery in urology, most traditional classic urologic operations used until now could be replaced with endoscopic surgery. On the basis of endoscopic treatment in urology there are two main directions: endoscope which allows access to any segment of the urogenital tract and electrosurgery, which use high frequency electrical currents to make incision without bleeding and clotting. The base parameters in electric surgery are: frequency, current density and duration of circuit through the body. When an electrode is applied through a stream of cutting the current density at the site of contact with the tissue rises sharply, resulting in rapid heating or explosion of the cells and tissue destruction.
