GOLD 2017: Strategia globală actualizată de management al bronhopneumopatiei cronice obstructive

Abstract

GOLD recommendations for COPD management updated in 2017 have been analyzed. The conclusion is that the main changes have affected the definition of COPD, the role of spirometry in disease management, the escalation and the de-escalation of pharmacotherapy algorithm. Attention has been paid to palliative care, interventional bronchoscopy and surgery. The emphasis has been placed on the importance of treatment of comorbidities, a detailed strategy for the management of comorbid diseases has been presented.
